Vintage full-size oak bed frame with headboard, footboard
Sturdy and functional double bed frame with headboard and footboard. It is certainly vintage and may even be an antique; probably from somewhere near the turn of the last century. I have always thought the wood was oak, but can’t speak to that. Long ago, someone removed what was probably an ornamental top of the headboard, which has since been replaced with a simple flat top.

The wood and general appearance somewhat resemble this Eastlake Victorian oak bed frame (though again, without the ornamental top):

At each corner, the sideboards have an ornamental piece (again, similar to the Eastlake Victorian). One of these is missing. Comes with a couple of sturdy plywood board inserts that will support a modern mattress (the original slats are also there; however, they’re around 6 inches apart).
This lovely old bed came to me years ago when I was in need of a bed. These days it’s a bit hefty for me, so I’m hoping to pass it on to a good home.
