Vintage bronze model of a Viking ship by Edward Aagaard of Copenhagen, Denmark. Manufactured in the 1950/60s Weighing 2 pounds, 13 ounces, this vessel is approximately 16 inches long, 3 and 1/2 inches wide, and 11 inches tall. On initial inspection, this ship might be readily confused with other examples of Aagaard's work, most notably a longship with a more pronounced arch in the hull and displaying 14 shields on each side. This offering is a rare example with a particularly elegant shallow, elongated hull sporting 20 shields bilaterally.

This offering is a rare example with a particularly elegant shallow, elongated hull sporting 20 shields bilaterally. The hull and rigging are in very fine condition, free of dents or fraying; it is somewhat unusual to find examples of this ship with the rigging, flag and oar all intact.
