Lane cedar blanket chest with original lock and key

True to the 40's, this Lane cedar chest, or blanket chest as they were sometimes called, was a "Hope Chest". As was customary in those days, my mother filled it with hand sewn quilts, hand knitted woolens, and delicate tea cups & saucers in "Hope" of setting up housekeeping one day.The chest is in very beautiful condition. It has some minor wear on the top from little people climbing off and on with shoe buckles back in the 50's, a tray for small items beneath the lid, the Lane mark burned in, and the original lock and key. Asking $300 or best offer.
