Lyme Town Band in Concert

Subject: [Lyme] THE LYME TOWN BAND IN CONCERT

Please join us for our forthcoming concerts: Tuesday, August 11, 7:00 on the Lyme Common. The Band will take on Leonard Bernstein’s challenging and exciting Overture to Candide, Gustav Holst’s First Suite (a classic of band music), and a variety old and new pieces. Something for everyone! Bring a chair and settle in. Dancing children (and others!) are encouraged. In case of rain, the concert will take place in the Lyme School Gymnasium. Saturday, August 15, 5:00 at the Post Mills Congregational Church. Part of Thetford’s SQC 250th celebration, The Band’s music will feature patriotic tunes as well as selections from Glenn Miller and John Williams. Again, bring a chair. From the organizers:The concert will be Followed by Post Mills Church's Famous Bean Hole Baked Beans & a Potluck Supper. Colonial recipes encouraged. Beans and Beverages provided.
